Sunshine on a Rainy Day

Well folks, it's Monday. I don't know about you, but here in Georgia it is gloomy and rainy outside. Perfect weather to curl up on the couch with a mug of coffee and a book.

With that being said- most of us spend our Mondays working. Whether it's in an office, at home with your adorable (yet HYPER) kiddos and every where else in between... it is still Monday.

On that positive note I, the marvelous Lindsey, will distract you with bright, colorful and cheerful items I've found around Etsy.

Well, I know I feel better now! Head over to my Etsy Profile to view the entire Bright and Cheery Treasury to liven up your Monday.

 Aren't these colors awesome?

Much Love,
Lindsey

Shop Sunday

In my home, Sunday is my day to create. All the ideas churning in my head throughout the week finally have the chance to come to life. Being an 8-5 working woman, these shop Sundays are so wonderful for me.

With that being said, I'd like to share a few new products from my shop:

Fascinating Friday

So we've all seen the typically adorable Wordless Wednesdays and Throw Back Thursdays in Bloggy land, but I'm starting a new one in honor of all of the incredibly talented DIY'ers out there!

Have you ever seen some lovely, inspiring or extremely detailed handmade item and wonder "HOW in the WORLD did they do that??" I have so many times while browsing Etsy or even Pinterest. There are so many incredibly talented and fascinating artists out there and Fascinating Friday is going to be a great way to showcase them!

Here's a few that I have seen browsing Etsy that completely blow me away:

Vintage World Map Wood & Wool by Beau Grand Monde on Etsy

Each of those are truly incredible works of art and great things to give as gifts or treat yourself! Those galaxy salt and pepper shakers are already on my gift list!

Are there any unique items you create or have had your eye on? Please share in the comments below if so! I'd love to have a look.

 Happy Friday Ya'll!

Minimalist Jewelry- Yay or Nay?

Dainty chains, small pendants, bar necklaces... I think at this point we have all seen the minimalist jewelry trend. I think it is wonderful- the simplicity is lovely.

From the ultra famous to the ultra fabulous- minimalist jewelry is in.

Here's Blake Lively wearing a bright blue bar necklace

And the lovely Scarlett Johansson on the Today Show

What's your take on this trend? Love it or leave it? I think this trend is here to stay for quite a while, due to it's classic simple look.

Have a look at the two new bar necklaces I added to my shop today and browse the work of many other Etsians.

Jewelry Storage and Organization

So you love jewelry, yes? With so many fantastic options out there- a girl simply can't resist. Personally I spend WAY too much time looking shopping for jewelry and supplies on Etsy... not to mention the enormous amount of DIY jewelry on Pinterest!

Here are a few of my fall favorites from my Etsy shop-

Okay, so you have all of these earrings and that's where (a VERY small, nothing to stop you from buying earrings) problem arises. If you can't tell from my Etsy shop, perhaps I should post a photo of the massive amount of earrings I own. I have FINALLY found the most practical storage option that doesn't result in me tossing the earrings down on the counter instead of putting them away.

One day soon I will post a tutorial for this amazing little item that was created from stuff I already had in my craft room! Desperate times call for desperate measures!

Now here's my question- What do you use for storing your jewelry? Do you prefer to make something yourself or purchase an organizer?

Here's a few of my faves on Etsy right now-

Introducing.... Me!

Hiya Folks!

Where oh where to begin this magical journey...

I am a craftaholic and I have no shame. Every moment of my spare time is consumed with painting, sewing, cooking or making jewelry. I have a constant flow of ideas and urge to create. I look forward to sharing my ideas and learning from you!

Creatively Crafted GA will soon be one of your new favorite crafty hangouts (when your not on Pinterest or Etsy that is!) I have much respect for handmade items- decor, jewelry and even yummy from scratch recipes.

There's so much beauty in the process of creating. Here I plan to feature some of my favorite Etsy shops, share some great tutorials and interact with you guys.

I can't wait to get to know you all!

Here's some handmade beauties to inspire while I get the blog in order. Feel free to check these folks out and support handmade.
